Brett Featherstone, a dedicated drag racer from Wheeley, Essex, has made an incredible return to the drag racing scene after a 25-year break. Brett competes in the Pro ET class at Santa Pod Raceway, and his 1969 Chevrolet Nova named "Nova Scotia," has quickly become one of the standout entries in the field.
Brett has earned numerous trophies with the car, including clinching the top spot in the 2024 Pro ET Championship.
Having a one piece fibreglass front end, We were contacted to bring “Nova Scotia” to life with a custom paint job that captured the essence of the car’s factory counterpart. We were tasked with painting the entire front end of the car to look stock, hand painting all the grille, trim, badges, chrome details, number plates, and headlights. The detail extended to every part of the front fascia to ensure it had a factory, authentic feel looking like a steel car out on the track.
However, we secretly took the design a step further by painting on a number plate that reflects the cars story. The plate was a nod to the car’s origin- Nova Scotia, Canada, where Brett originally bought the car before shipping it across the ocean to the UK. matching the number plate to the car’s race number, creating a truly personal connection to the vehicle’s racing history.
The Duster made its debut at the Easter Thunderball event in 2013, with a focus on competing and contending in the MSA British Pro Modified series from the outset. with the car consistently running low 6 second 1/4 mile times.
