Ida Zetterström is a Swedish drag racer who has rapidly ascended the ranks of European and American Top Fuel drag racing. Born 1994, in Stockholm, Sweden, and raised in the Åland Islands, she began her racing career at age eight in junior dragsters. She later transitioned to Super Street Bike racing, where she made history by becoming the first woman to win a Scandinavian Super Street Bike Championship in 2019 and the first to record a sub-7-second quarter mile run in 2020

In 2021, Ida earned her FIA Top Fuel license with the quickest-ever licensing pass in European drag racing history. By 2023, she dominated the European Top Fuel scene, securing the FIA European Top Fuel Championship with four wins and setting both the elapsed time (3.773 seconds) and speed (321 mph) records at Santa Pod Raceway.

Transitioning to the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series in 2024, Zetterström debuted with JCM Racing, reaching the semifinals at Brainerd International Raceway. She set new personal bests, including a 3.738-second run at the NHRA Finals and a top speed of 334.32 mph . Her exceptional performance earned her the "Best New Pro Talent" award from NHRA's National Dragster publication.

For Ida's Top Fuel debut with RF Motorsport, we were approached with a design for a paint scheme that would honor her past in Super Street Bike racing, while aligning with the new chapter she was embarking on in Top Fuel. The red, black, and white color scheme chosen was inspired by the look and feel of her previous bike, as well as her main sponsors—Mstrand.ax, Edelbrock Dodge, and KW Parts Group—who supported her throughout her racing career. This design blends her past and future, making sure Ida’s dragster stands out on the track as she continues her evolution in drag racing.
